As part of the exhibition "Things, a history of still life" designed by art historian Laurence Bertrand Dorléac, the Louvre Museum is hosting under its Pyramid "The Pillar of Disappeared Migrants", a monumental work by the artist Barthélémy Toguo.

The central column under the Pyramid of Ieoh Ming Pei was intended from the outset to receive a monumental sculpture, in order to signal, through a work of art, the entrance to the museum. The last installation dates from 2018 with the work Throne by Kohei Nawa. In 2022, as part of the Les Choses exhibition, Barthélémy Toguo is raising Le Pillar of Missing Migrants under the Belvedere.
